Or curly, if you want to call it that. I made this for the school auction coming up and thought Tiger might make it more attractive around here...
Nice to finally get to do a little turning.
This was one of those Rockler bowl blanks I picked up awhile back. Made it footless and a bit steeper curve on the sides to maximize the volume the bowl can hold. Its about 2.25 x 7.25.
5 coats of General Finishes Salad Bowl.

I bought a couple of those blanks too, looks like I should have bought some more when my local Rockler closed and had em at 40% off DOH!:mad:

Ther is a world of difference in plain old maple and the figured stuff. you've done the piece justice. Well done! :):)

The fiquired maple is very nice.Wish I had bought the inventory from rockler when it was on sale.

Nice job Gary. I hope it goes for a high price at the auction. I picked up a few of those round Rockler blanks also and some really had great figure - well worth the $7.50/BF
