Another 'older' project. This one was inspired by a visit to a south west Indian web site. Must admit it took three months in the design, "thinking" and execution process. It measures 350mm diameter and 160mm high. The bottom part is laminated from Queensland maple. The top section is laminated from black bean, poplar and red cedar. This piece actually took out an award for a laminated piece.

Well Jim .... between you and a couple (?) of others here at the creek ..... the bar just keeps going up:D. Very nice work indeed. I might add exceptional at worst and truely unique. Awsome stuff for sure.

My limited imagination can't quite grasp how you laminate such a complex piece. That is extraordinary Jim. You do fabulous work.

Beautiful work once again Jim! I can see why this one won an award! I can't imagine designing something for three months - but it sure turned out amazing! Looking forward to your next post!
