I've lurked for a while, but now need some help. I'm in the process of designing a simple shaker style bedside table (tapered legs, inset drawer, made out of cherry.) like the one seen here:

http://www.thosmoser.com/residential/res.products.view.php?from=cat&product_id=181

But, I would also like to add some wrought iron inside corner brackets, kind of in the same manner as David Marks did in this project:

http://www.djmarks.com/portfollioimages/Woodworks%20Html%20pages/101_chippendalesidetable.html

I believe DM used wood for his corners, but I'd like to find something in wrought iron. I've checked Lee Valley and a search of the web, but came up empty.

Has anyone ever done this before and have any sources for what I'm trying to find?

Thanks for your help and comments.

Brian,
Try the ABANA (Artist Blacksmith Association of North America) website-odds are someone there can help you find them or make them for you.

Brian Stop, Do Not, I repeat Do Not mix Shaker style tables and wrought iron corner hardware. It will upset the + & - energy flow causing mass destruction of Biblical proportions.Wait….That’s table salt shakers and garden slugs….Never mind. :oLooking forward to seeing the finished product. Sounds interesting.;)

Don't know exactly what they have but you might check Rockler, they do have craftsman style hardware. Also check Renovators Supply, lots of neat hardware there.

Hey Mac,

I checked Renovators Supply, but it doesn't look like they have what I'm looking for.

BUT, I did find something else that I've been looking for for about 2 years. Thanks for the input!
