How do you sharpen the McNaughton coring tools?

Light touch with a fine or very fine diamond card. Sometimes clean up the edge on the grinder 100 grit. If you want a very agressive burr, than use a course wheel, don't hone.

Well, I prefer a coarser diamond hone for them. A finer one won't raise much of a burr. Do not touch the top of the blades. The cutting part is a thin veneer of harder steel bonded onto the bar stock. Just touch up the edges.
