Acrylic football shaped award

I had a request for an acrylic award shaped like a football. Possibly a football at the top of an acrylic column would work well also. I went to my usual favorite suppliers and didn't see what I need. The person doesn't want it bigger than 12 inches (close would be fine I am sure). Has anyone come across something like this? Thanks in advance for any help :)

Attached is a file that we used to cut from 1/8" MDF. I'm sure it could be cut from 1/4" acrylic and affixed to an acrylic base to make a nice award.

The file was setup so we could make 3 at a time, with engraving on both sides. Take what you need from it.

We cut these from MDF and then fashioned a base that was simply a 2x4 block that we beveled the edges on and cut a slot though the top for this piece to slip into. It stood upright, was very stable, and was used as a table centerpiece at a sports banquet. It turned out pretty decent.
