Nova G3 Adaptor

Im going to buy a G3 for my Jet 1236. Lee Valley shows the adaptor for 1"X8tpi. They have 2 types. One is out of stock. The one they have says "inboard only" What does this mean? Is this the one I need to use a G3 on my Jet 1236?

You can call LV to confirm.

On some lathes, the outboard side uses a LH thread.
Nova has an adapter that has both LH and RH thread, and one that has RH. thread only.
