Gentlemen,

I recently bought a stanley miter box that was listed on ebay. When it arrived it had missing and broken parts. I am on the hunt for replacement parts or a different miter box, but I don't know what I have here.
I am attaching some pictures of the box and some of the damage.
1.The lever that you lift to disengage the pin that lets you change the angle is broken.
2. the top of the tower that holds the saw was hit with a hammer to seat the tower. the casting is broken and the screws are rounded over.

Any information as to what year and model would be appreciated, also where I might find parts.
Respectfully,

Mike Guthrie

I don't know anything about this tool, but while surfing different sites this evening, I came across this site:

http://www.tooltrip.com/tooltrip9/index.htm

I noticed this guy has some parts for free and for sale relating to several different types of Stanley miter boxes. You might have to scroll through the list of stuff there to get to the miter box parts.

Michael,

Thanks for the information, I went to the site and it has parts lists and diagrams for the miter box.

Harry,

I recieved your test and sent some pictures of the broken parts.

listed on their support site. I'm not sure if 'index clamp lever' is the piece you need, but it does look like at least you can get some of the smaller parts here. Probably not enough to completely fix the tower, but maybe it'll help.

Here's the 358 page:
