I was curious to find out if you painted the tubes and/or the inside of the blanks before gluing up??

I am working with acrylics now and I am having some issues with the brass showing through. IF you do paint, what type do you use and also what gluing method?

Thanks, they are all VERY nice!!

John,

Yes, If I use an acrylic I'll paint the brass tube white or a what the main color of the acrylic would be. Except on this Gold acrylic, since the brass was pretty much the same color I didn't worry about it.

I just use a simple $1 spray can from Walmart. That way I can afford to have many different colors on hand. I also use a little jig with dowels to keep them help upright for spraying and drying. Hope that helps.
