Horizontal Slot mortiser?

I am interested in adding a horizontal slot mortiser to my semi-pro shop. I have a storm window job booked for the spring that can pay for something in the range of the Laguna Platinum or possible a Hammer. I'd like to get something that can make 3" deep X 5/8" slots for full size doors in the future and has doweling capacity. I did the first half of the window job with a plunge router and simple jigs, would like to speed it up a little, but can do it the same as last time. Any experience with these or other machines? Should I keep saving and go bigger down the road, or will these lower end machines get it done? I am talking 10-20 doors per year.
