Does anyone here own this jigsaw? I have a pos Craftsman that I have wanted to replace for while now. I know the Bosch is preferred by most, but I wonder, how does the Freud compare with it?

In the same boat here David. I have been waiting to justify a new Bosch but just could never pull the trigger for $150+ jigsaw. I may regret it but at $70 at my door the Freud to hard to pass up for me.

The worst thing I read is that it was heavy(which I can deal with<Im not a wimp.)and somebody got a bum base and had to return it.

i have had one for over 4 years with no problems and i really like it . i got it at lowe's on closeout for $77.00 ( then about a month and a half later they were selling them for $99.00) so $69.00 is great . mine was made in spain. you should really like it.
