Biesemeyer face plate is not flat??

It's got a bow of about .009"

Is there a way to get the face off so I can shim it?

Yes, heat gun. it's attached with adhesive and you can remove it via a putty knife and some gentle heat (be careful not to burn it.)

Then the face is attached with 4-6 screws. I can't remember the exact number as I've not taken mine off in a few years. Veneer tape is nice for shimming as it is SO thin.

Well.... I checked out mine & it's out .005" in the middle from end to end also put a square on the saw table & see if it's out than way. Mine is out about a 1/32"....
