Early turning! ??

Acyualy I returned this piece in 1954-55.I post it today for your amusement, enjoyment, whatever. htis bowl started life as a Munising Woodenware bowl It was prchased my my future MIL at the factory sales outlet in Munising in the late 1940s. I'm sure it was a second as it was badly out of round. I offered to "straighten it out",(O impetuous youth). The turning cost massive loss of weight and bulk to the piece, But I did manage to save what you see. The piece is now appx. 1/16 thickexcept for te foot ,(3/8"thick) 10" diax4" high . I never was sure whether MIL was pleased or not, the important thing was that LOML was and today we celebrate 53 years of marriage.
