I rough turned a couple small items that where very wet. I don't have DNA so I put them in paper bag. What I need to know is can you put more than one item in the bag if it's small and how about differant kinds of wood?

That should work, as long as you fill the bag with the wet shavings. Open it each week, to let some of the moisture out, until it is dry.

Another method that works well for me is to take the wood, before turning, and put it into microwave oven (bought one large enough to do a 16" bowl at a garage sale for $10.00 so I didn't have to use LOML's).

The protocall is as follows:

1.Cook for 2 minutes @ 20%.
2. Check if hot. If it is, let it cool totally.
3. repeat till it is not hot.

Note: If it is still hot after the fifth time, let it rest till the next day, then repeat 1 & 2.

I've seen Bruce's method before. I actually bougt some DNA and that has given me the best results. Another method I've seen is using Kirkland Brand detergent 50/50 with water, soaking bowls in that stuff.
