In the last couple of months I have seen plans in a mag for building and adjustable shop stool. Could some one help me with the name and date of the mag. Would like to make it for a gift for the fil.
Thanks David

The current issue of Shop Notes has a nice looking one. There's no picture, but here's the index: http://www.shopnotes.com/issues/097/

That one in Shopnotes is a great looking stool, I am thinking of building one just for the heck of it, it looks that good.

Thank you that's the one I'm looking for. Saw the mag when I was waiting to get my teeth cleaned.
Thanks again

You'll find woodworking a lot easier if you use metal tools like saws and chisels and such. :D

I found a plan in American Woodworker v117, Oct 2005.

I built an adjustable one for my shop and was then convinced to build some more for our rec room (without the adjustable portion). This is an easy to build plan and functions great when you need a bit of extra support for something long.

Each is built from a half sheet of 3/4 in plywood.
