I thought you might find this piece interesting. I made it for my son when he was little. It’s 5 feet wide and 3feet tall. Birch plywood, oak dowels, pine fuselage, and aluminum cowling made from a cooking pot. The “motor” is a router I burned out while making it. Although the prop spins, it is imbalanced so that it always lands rightside up. These shelves have been plenty strong enough for books and various home gymnastics.

I know there is a plans forum, but it'd be cool if there was a place here to share plans. Layout, dimensions or detail, along with a picture, maybe of the finished item.
