The bottom edge of the t-slot/miter slot on a cast iron table saw is sharp enough to slice through several layers of skin. I stupidly wiped some sawdust out of the miter slot with two of my fingers and sliced the tips of both of them. I new instantly I was in for a long bleeding session. There are lots of nerve ending in the tips of the fingers its gets really tingly.

An unexpected hazard! I've done the same thing many times but fortunately without injury. The good part is a few swipes with some fine sandpaper should take the edge off.

yep, I did it wiping down my new PM 64A, I hate that feeling, happens so fast the pain hasn't hit yet but you know you sliced it good, glad it wasn't worse...

I use a hone (100 grit) to knock off sharp burrs/edges on new equipment. Sand paper will work but I would back it with a piece of wood because some burrs will cut right through the sand paper.
