Hey all, I'm using 6" metal blast gates with the 6" S&D pipe which is thin walled. The blast gates fit a little loose. Whats my best option? Using a silicon adhesive, using silicon with sheet metal screws, pop rivets and silicon, or wrap the rim of the blast gate with a wrap or two of tape to make a snug fit? Any other options? thanks for any help, Sean

I used some peel & stick rubber from McMaster-Carr on mine but you could probably do a number of smooth raps of heavy duct tape too

I used some thin strips of duct tape. Use enough wraps to get a snug fit and then secure the connection with a couple of short screws. Sorry for the blurry pics.

I believe you mean silicone adhesive rather than silicon.

Did you pre drill before using the screws? thanks

Yes. I also seal around the edge of the pipe and gate with a little caulk.

OK I have a silly question but where did you get 6" blast gates?
