Lee Valley has a nice assortment of both "typical" and "interesting" knobs and pulls available.

I've used Interknobs.com a few times. They have a huge selection in many different finishes. Service was very good too.

Good Luck...Jeff :)

You can make your own wood ones. You get all the design freedom that you want, and your piece of furniture becomes even less like factory-built stuff. Check out an article I wrote about this in the SMC Articles forum.

Thanks for the responses. I should have been more specific. I am looking for exotic wood knobs. I need 22 of them. The labor cost would send the price too high. I want to give the customer options at a resonable cost.

Thanks again,
Coz

Over the years, I've occasionally bought wood knobs, and have always been disappointed. They've been badly turned, or badly milled, so the surfaces are rough. They'd require enormous amounts of sanding to turn into acceptable furniture. In the long run, it is less expensive to make them, and make them right, in the first place.

You need to catch the lathe disease. I keep all sorts of small exotic wood pieces around for just such applications.:D

I have the sickness..I just don't have the time......or the client that will pay. I was looking for high quality turned exotics.......just a thought, looks like they are not out there. I have four lathes at the moment. Here is the oldest but not the smallesthttp://members.cox.net/ecoz/gplathe.jpg

It sounds like you're looking for something more traditional, but if you're looking for modern/contemporary/futuristic, Mockett (www.mockett.com (http://www.mockett.com)) makes/sells a line of "architectural" hardware. They really have some neat stuff - worth a look - you might get some ideas for future projects!
