I am new to turning, and I already own a Jet wet sharpener. I am thinking of buying the gouge jig and flat rest and maybe the honing wheel for my turning tools. Then again maybe I would be better off with a slow grinder\Wolverine system, any thoughts? I should add the main reason is that I have been hesitant to leave the Jet in a freezing shop overnight with the stone wet therefore I don't use it during the winter.

I just won a Jet wet sharpener. I passed though to get a gift certificate. I was checking pricing on the Jet (Tormek) jigs and figured I'd do better with having the available jigs for my slow speed grinder instead. Not as many options for the slow speed grinder that I've seen, but within my budget better than the Jet options.

I like the slow speed, good wheels, and the wolverine jigs. I'm not crazy about my skew jig. I dress my skews by hand.
