Michael,

I checked several places where I've bought wood and the only place I found was CSUSA and it would require glue ups. I don't know how well that would work?

Good luck and let me know what you end up doing.

I've seen stock large enough for what you want on the bay. Do you want dry stock - that could be harder to find.

I posted a thread about finishing this wood last month because It is near imposible to remove all that green wax. one of the replys was from a man who uses it for shipmaking parts, (belaying Pins). Maybe you should check boatyard suppliers.:confused:

I don't have a web site address, but try Gilmer woods in Portland, OR. They have just about everything.

I frequent this place a few times a year and have been very satisfied with their stock. I have seen what you are looking for and it runs around $6 a pound. http://anexotichardwood.com/pricelist.html

it is hard to tell when it is dry and it dries slower then a a rock (G) glueups are a waste no glue really sticks to it that most of us use. though I did find hot melt poly did.
vera wood is a good substitute and smells great. LV has been put on the endangered list.

I bought it several Times at www.westpaennhardwoods.com (http://www.westpaennhardwoods.com) if the don't have the size listed call them they will have it. They are one of the biggest exotic deals in the country. they supply all the woodcrafts and many more.

Michael, are you going to attend the AAW symposium in Richmond in the spring? There is a place about 20 miles away in Powhatan, VA that sells the stuff. You could always order online as well, though shipping might be pricey given the weight.
