Hypothetical question --- If you were only allowed to produce your products using a single material, what would that material be and why?

My choice by far is cherry.
It is abundent, It mellows with age, easy to work with, and is avaible at low cost:) Also I like it.

If I could use just one material and obliged to not fudge, I'd probably stick to woodcarving. Just kidding. I like American Black Cherry for the above stated reasons and also because I have more than 10K pieces almost laser ready.

Black granite or marble. Looks sharp when finished and always has the wow factor at shows.

Would have to be acrylic ,its almost foolproof on a laser and can be bent, moulded or glued with ease to make many many diverse products.

Acrylic...Its simple to run and much more versatile than some of the other products. Plus I like the way it smells when it cuts.

For me is is matte board. It is cheap. I can do multi layered designs. And if I am doing a job for a customer and they want to see what the finished item will look like. I can do it on colored matte board, before lasering the expensive stuff. Here are some photos of some of my first tries on matte board

I'm with Rodne and Frank..acrylic. It is very workable material in the laser. I also love to bend it and glue it up with Weldon #3.
