This is a cherry bowl that started out as a blank almost 11" in diameter. Due to a lot of included bark and cracking it ended up at 6" x 3.25". I decided to do a little different lip this time and also burned a line at the botytom of the lip with a fishing leader to set it off some. Sanded to 320 and finished with home brew oil. Comments and critiques appreciated.

Steve - that's a good looking bowl! I really like the soft look of the wood! Nice form and the burn line helps accent the rolled lip. Beautiful wood - very nice work!

I like this one too Steve, the burn line lifts the rim detail and looks great.

That is a beauty. I like the burnt line setting off the rim. Soft looking wood.

I like this one as well. The figure in that wood is great.

Nice looking piece. Sorry about the loos of material. From a salad bowl you ended up with a soup one.
Congrats

Steven, I really like the rim treatment! Sorry, you lost so much wood, but hey it makes a great pile of shaving right?

Steven, I Use Brake Cabels, Cabels For Changing Gears Clutch Cables From Bicycles And Motorcycles. They Are Different Diameters. I Attach A Handel To Each End. Happy Turning.

Beginning life as a large salad bowl, and changing into a beautiful cereal bowl... morphing at it's finest! Well done!
