John,

That is one sweet shop, everything a person needs and lots of room to move around. What are you doing for dust collection? Is the Sawstop new too?

It sure is clean! :)

Thanks for the pictures and inspiration to clean up my mess!

Thanks for the pictures and inspiration to clean up my mess! Thanks Bob! But I don't have a Sawstop. For DC I have a HF DC and I'll be piping that in with pvc.

now you just need to generate enough dust to blanket everything with a couple microns of wood! thanks for the tour. that's a gorgeous workbench, BTW.

John, that is a very nice shop!

You've been busy upgrading some tools and changing their layout a bit between these pictures and the ones posted on your website I see.

The OSB was a great idea. It appears that you got rid of the floor mats, why? I was thinking of using those in my shop, though they seem as if they'd be a pain to clean.

That is a very nice looking shop.

It looks like I would love it, it is a great layout and has everything that anyone could ask for.

Very nice job of laying it out.

Nicely done. And a massive collection of hand planes you have there too.

And i think it would be better to call it an Arboreal Surgery Room with as clean as it is.

My shop was never that clean, even on it's first day. I like your before and after pictures but especially like your crawler at the bottom of the page.

I was just waiting to get everything back in place and get the DC hooked up before I put the mats back down. I wouldn't be able to work on that floor all day without them :)

Thanks!

Thanks to all for your very kind responses!

I hate to admit it but I am a neat freak if you haven't picked up on that  The Military (Navy) ruined me for life. On a ship you learn how to make the most out of a space and everything has to have a place. That skill set imparted by the Military has translated into my civilian life  I mess the shop up during projects, but after each project I clean it up again. I know, I know, I'm hopeless :D

Thanks again!
John

Really nice shop tour John. I'd say you are making the most of your space without a doubt. My question is do you have to pay the maid extra to windex the tools? Get it dirty man!

Have fun makin a mess.

By the way I love shop tours on the creek. Keith should devote a forum to shop tours where every member could post their tour and you could just browse. I wouldn't need any bathroom magazines. Just set my laptop on the vanity and take the tours.

Jphn,
Thanks for sharing. Very, very nice shop. Don't let my wife see how clean it is !! It's great to see what others are doing.
