Anyone know where I can get some? Flat stock,about 1/4 or 5/16 thick, blade about 7" long, 1 1/4 wide?

Enco or WT Tool as well. WT Tool is local to me so I can just go talk to someone over the counter which is nice. Not affiliated with either though.

Check ww.thompsonlathetools.com Doug has blanks made up in different sizes for grinning your way don't know the price.

You may also want to look around in your area for a "Metal Supermarket". They tend to have a lot of offcuts and odd sizes.

if you're looking for flat stock for scrapers, i've heard leaf springs are hard to beat. i may be wrong. i plan on trying one for myself soon.
