Their 220v remote switch is only good up to a 3hp motor. Does anyone out there have anything for a 5hp system??

Mark,

Not that I know of. Most of us with the Leeson motors have built control boxes like on Dennis Peacock's site. Dennis has a nice buildup article.

Mark,

Dennis used an outdoor remote controlled switch that runs off of 120 Vac. He then used a contactor with a 120 Vac coil that could handle 240 Vac (30 or 40 A one is what you want for a 5 HP motor) to switch your DC motor off and on.

Look in the Classified section for a post by me about selling a magnetic switch and then click on the link in that thread to read a (not too) long thread that contains all this info including Dennis' solution to our situation.

How about some shots of your BP/CE DC set-up...I'm anxious to hear how it is going with their kit. I'm not sure when I'll get to mine.

Edit: Here is the thread you should read, Mark:

Mine's still laying flat on the bench. I could take a pic, but you already know what that looks like. 8o) I have a sheet metal friend whose going to assist me. He does furnace work & has all the tools & tricks. Right now I'm getting ready to run my 220 to the machines. I'll have pics on a webshots site soon. Steve King has a real nice site on putting his BP/CE cyclone together with pics. Very user friendly.
