I am eventually going to buy a dust collector for my shop. I was considering the 2HP Dust Gorilla, but maybe it is overkill for what I need in terms of space and cost. My shop is multi use, and woodworking is maybe 1/3 of the stuff I want to accomplish there. I have a table saw, two sliding saws, band saw, router, scroll saw and overhead JDS air filtrer. I don't know if I want to bother with ducting. Can a cannister style 2HP unit (I like the look of the Jet's) do as good a job as a cyclone when used on a 10 ft length of hose? I will be the only person working in the shop. I might also want to use it for body fill dust, etc. Are Cyclones a lot quieter than the single stage cannisters? Finally, Oneida is threatening to increase the price on the Dust Gorilla soon, their sales staff gave me a call , which is a good way to get me to decide. Anyone know how much they want to raise prices? Thanks
