This piece is 9 1/2 tall and the hollow form is 3 1/2 wide. The pedestal and finial is Padauk , maybe an unusual species of wood but I liked the way it looked. The finish is buffed seal coat. Thanks for looking.

Wow. That is very impressive. I trully like the colors and the shape of it, the way you've blended the foot into the hollw form. In a nut shell I like the whole thing.
Congratulations and thank you for the inspiration.

beautiful piece Mike. I love the color contrast you used. It really sets the piece off and makes you say "WOW". Love the form and how all the curves are "fluid". Excellent job.

Right on Mike. All of the above!!!I'm doing a Padauk/maple vase segmented now and I really like that "orange" against the " white". Nice work.

WOW! Love the contrasting colors! Great form - especially the blending of the two forms and the slim taper of the pedestal! I like the way you matched the height of the finial with the length of the pedestal - makes it more balanced. Only thing I would liked even more with the finial would be a curve on the base that blended with the curve on the top of the hollow form.

I like this one - already saved it to my favorites! Very nice work!

MIke I like it a lot. The bottom looks great to me, personally I would like it a little better if the Padauk top had a curve to match the rest of the piece. If looks a little flat to me. Of course I know pictures can be decieveing so maybe it is just the picture.
