Well the time has come to start the out-feed/workbench project. I thought since I was going to replace the tops and side skins from the large work table I brought home from work, I might as well add a few Kreg klamp track's and sliding clamps as well. Below are some shots of the progress so far, tomorrow I will add the final 3/4" top to bring the finished height up to my cabinet saw. Any thoughts or suggestions before I lock all the tracks down?

Here I am starting to lay out the long run of track, the table is 4x10 so I still have to build up the last 2 feet. After I install the top 3/4" I will inlay
the small klamp swivel pads so I can mount a klamp in the middle of the table as well.

This is going to be a cool project! I would recommend possibly positining the trak with an inch or two space in between them so that you can get your kreg clamps removed without having to slide them 10 feet!

Other than that... looks great. Looking forward to seeing the final product.

What Bob said, and it looks like: cut, slide, position, clamp, and assemble.

Keep us up to date on the progress, I'd love to see the finished product. As soon as I clear a few projects off my plate I plan to do something very similar. Did you notice on the Kreg the table surface is about 1/16" higher than the track? seemed like it was designed that way for the stops.

Dave,

Yes, the track is a tad smaller than the 3/4" material around it. I will post
some more photo's of it tonight.

I had to take a small break from working on the klamp/assembly/outfeed table, to build a lathe table for LOML & #1 son. Below are some more pic's of the progress on the klamp table and also one for the lathe table since the rule around here is (no pic it did't happen).:D:D:D

I still have to finish the end that will be used for face frame assembly, in the phots's below I am making sure I have a good square corner before locking the track down. I still have to rout the top of the table where I will place the small klamp plates.
