DW735 Manual

I put away my DW735 owners manual never to be found when needed. I sledom us manuals because I cannot for the most part understand written instructions.
I am confused on how to read the thickness guage. Is it at the top of the red piece that goes up and down with the turning of the handle. I just planed a piece that is 3/4" but the guage shows a far differnt measurement.
I looked on the DW service site for a owner's manual but I saw none available.
For anyone answering this please understant writing instructions so a normal person can understand them does not work with me. Maybe when my wife gets home from shopping she can translate for me.

Jerry,
Yes you read off the top of the red piece of metal. If it is not correct, you might have to adjust it by loosening the two screws just to the left of the red metal and adjust it to match the wood that you just ran through the planer.
