hi all,

I wanted to ask about woodpeck's precision tools, what are your impressions, are they as accurate as the Starrett squares.
Specifically I wanted you opinions on:
12" Precision Woodworking Square http://www.woodpeck.com/1281.html
24" Precision Woodworking T Square http://www.woodpeck.com/tsquare24.html
Precision Triangles http://www.woodpeck.com/triangles.html
SERX- Straight Edge Ruler http://www.woodpeck.com/serx.html
SSE-2 Steel Straight Edge http://www.woodpeck.com/sse2.html

Thanks for your feeback

I like the spec that says the squareness is within .001 for entire square....not .001 an inch...which deceives alot of people.

I own several of the Woodpecker squares & straight edges.
They are excellent tools.

I own everything on your list except the T-square, and many other of their measurment and layout tools. I'm thrilled with all of them. I really appreciate the hangable cases that most of their tools come eith as well. It's expensive stuff, and overkill for a guy like me that has trouble cutting on the line anyway, but I love them none the less.

Ditto what Dave and Chris have said. I've got a number of Woodpeckers Precision tools and I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. Very nice to work with.

Double ditto the above sentiments.
I have some of the measuring rules and a couple of their squares. The accuracy for the tool not for a small distance is impressive when you think about it, as Gary said.
The only knock I have with the aluminum stuff seems to be when it meets my floor.... the floor seems to win every time.
Also have a Woodpeck router lift that's very very nice too (made by Jess'em according to the rep at the tool show)?
