I was looking at the 7500 3M series and ran across one of these Triton power respirator systems and was curious. Any suggestions over 3M (price aside)? I know is seems a little overkill but it is recommended for woodworking (indoor/outdoor) only. (not for use with gases)

I have the Triton. It works well and does what it says. The "all-in-one" nature is both a "pro" and "con" at the same time... Convenient to throw on and have ear/eye/lung/head protection all at once, but kind of heavy and cumbersome when you only need one of those. It definitely provides a lot of protection -- I bought it primarily for lathe (large bowl) work, and feel pretty secure with the full head protection.

One comment on the linked review -- towards the end it mentions a new, more flexible hose. I bought mine in early 2005 and it came with the old hose. Triton provided the new one free of charge a month or so later, and it definitely was a big improvement. I assume the current models all come with the new hose by now.
