A mentor for an upcoming hand tools class has recommended that I pick up a fret saw from Highland Hardware. I found this here (http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=859). He also, however, recommended that I needed #5 blades for it. The replacement blades that Highland sales are listed as either 16, 22, or 32 tpi, but don't list by a designation similar to "#5."

EDIT: For Clarification, the blades are listed as follows:
16tpi/.022"
22tpi/.014"
32tpi/.011"

I emailed Highland but have not received a response.

Can anyone here help me understand the #5 designation, and if any of the blades listed may be satisfactory?

Thanks!
Brady

Just a thought, but could he have meant 5 inch long blades? That seems to be the standard size for that fret saw (although it allows you to reuse broken ones in a pinch).
