Hi everybody,
It's not really a turning post, but the Library of Congress has uploaded thousands of pictures onto Flickr, and here is one that is really amazing.
This was taken in 1942, the tree was an old virgin growth redwood that was over 800 years old, the little tabs give the event in history that happened then.
The innermost tab dates to 1066, and the battle of Hastings
next is 1299 when Kubla Khan reigned
then is 1492 when Columbus sailed
then is 1620 and the pilgrims landing
the third from last is 1776 and the Declaration of Independence
next to last is 1848, California Gold Rush!
finally, 1898 and the Spanish American War

History, its all in them rings!

If it does not show up well, you can go to this site for a better picture.

Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.

That is why some engineers smell real bad.
