compressed air filter

I have a central numatic filter (Cheap from harbor freight). It is not under constant pressure bu the gasket blew out.
I havn't drained out the water for a long time. Could that have caused the blowout or is it just because it is cheap junk.

the filter should have 2 gaskets, one at the top of the bowl, the other at the bottom of the bowl to drain the bowl.

To answer your question,
If the top gasket blew, then it's the cheap HF junk. If the bottom gasket the blew, it's a combination of not draining out (60%) and it also being HF junk quality (40%).
