I am amazed at the sense of community we had at Badger Pond.
I was in the N. Raleigh "WoodWorking Shop" during their Customer Appreciation Sale (10% off everything in the store) last Saturday. I had my Badger Pond cap on as I had just found out the day before that Badger Pond was closing and was in mourning. :-(
One of the other customers spoke up about "Badger Pond" and asked if it was still on-line. I told him that it had just closed down. He told me about this new forum call Saw Creek Mill or something.
Sure enough, I check into "SawCreekMill.org" on Monday morning and find most of the "Cronies" alive and posting a zillion times a week as they did at the Pond.
Thanks all you former Ponders for setting up here at the Creek.
I am very glad to have to relocated and didn't lose the community along the way. Thanks to all who help make the Creek a warm and friendly place!
Cheers,
Bob Janka
(Darn those beavers at US Army Corps of Engineers. What right did they have to go and drain the Pond? :-) (Well. at least they widened the creek downstream at the SawMill. ;-)
