Hey Bill,
Welcome to the CREEK. I think most of us have had close calls, I know I have. We just have to learn from those bad experiences.
Again, Welcome aboard.

Hey Jerry, shouldn't you trade that crotch-rocket in for a REAL bike? :D (I still don't know how people can ride those things comfortably for any distance!)

When you get on a liter class sport bike they tend to have fairly comfortable ergonomics. Chopers and assorted other Harley clones I find are very uncomfortable for long rides, too much weight placed on the lower back instead of the legs. I find that a Triumph speed tripple is fairly comfortable as well as a Ducati S2 or S4 (i.e. a 996 with a less agressive riding stance).

Hmmmm...Maybe it just doesn't "look" comfortable. I know some of the touring Beemers are close to that configuration. I had an older BMW and the driver profile was such that you were canted forward just a bit. I took my buddy's HD Glide for a spin once. THAT was comfy! Might have been that 2-foot thick seat...I don't know. :D Sadly, I think my riding days are done. LOML told me when we moved: WW shop or bike. Needless to say, we know which of the two won! :D Happy riding...

That was the only cartoon bike I could locate. In real life I ride a HD FLHTC (Electra Glide Classic AKA Dresser).
