I have the need to etch some text for a company logo across several 18" x 18" granite tiles that will be mounted onto a wall. The size of the finished piece will be 9' wide x 3' high.

The company has supplied me with their logo and now I need to stretch it to fit onto the finished size of 9' x 3'. What is the best way to break apart the image and text to make sure it all lines up when the tiles are assembled like a puzzle. Is there any old threads on SMC or can anyone point me in the right direction with Corel?

Thanks,
Tom

Search this forum for tiling, it has come up before.

Or,

if the Logo supplied is a bit map file, you could convert it to vector graphic format and have lots of options after that.

6 part video on how to do that in CorelDraw:
advancedartist.com/vectortrace.html
(just add a www. to the address and copy and paste into your web browser.)

It really looks a lot harder than it is. Once you do this bit map to vector trace bit, it isn't all that difficult.

Thanks Joe, I couldn't remember the term tiling. I found a great thread with a link to an Epilog tutorial. Great step by step instructions for an size need.

Thanks Phil, I saved your suggested link and will watch the video clips when time allows.

I only hope that I can be of assistance to you someday.
