How do you store your (Leigh) dovetail jig?

I received a D4R for Christmas and assembled it today, and am now trying to figure out how to store it. I am considering building a storage box onto which the jig can be mounted when is use and would like to see pics of what others have done. Also, once the VRS is mounted, does it just stay put - or is it removed between uses? How much additional room should I allow for the VRS?

I hang mine and leave the VRS attached.

It stays mounted on the riser and has its own shelf in my shop when not in use.

It stays assembled, and on its own shelf in a cabinet in the corner under the sharpening station.

Same as everyone else. It is stored assembled and ready to go.
I did not build a riser the way the directions tell you to. I mounted it on a piece of 1" thick oak, knowing I could add the lower pieces to make a box out of it if I wanted to. I just use it clamped to a bench, or work stand, with a clamp on each end of the over extended oak base it is attached to. I keep it on a shelf above my lathe. The misc stuff that comes with it is in a box right alongside it. The router bit set for it is in a box on the same shelf.
I do not have the VRS (Vacuum and Router Support) which was not an option when I bought it.

Glen, I leave mine assembled like the others, stored in a cabinet (although I like Lance's idea of hanging -- now I just have to find some wall space!). I have a D4 rather than D4R so this measurement might not apply to yours, but front-tip to back-tip measurement with the VRS installed is ~12.5 inches (jig+VRS only -- not including the mounting board). In my case, the VRS doesn't change height/width requirements.

My D4 is permanently mounted to, yet folds into a portable storage box that also serves as a bench stand. I take the box off the shelf and clamp it to my bench. I unlatch and lower the front of the box, rotate the top with the jig mounted to the underside, until the jig is now on top, then close and latch the front. It is similar to a flip top machine stand. It took a little experimentation to get the folding geometry right, but it works very well. The only negative is that I made it out of 3/4" Birch ply so it is a bit heavy. I'll make the next one lighter and try to incorporate a DC port. I have pics somewhere.
