Black Cherry, 5.5 to the top of finial, 4 wide, 1/16 thick. A lot thinner than I normally go, just playing with this one. Finial is ebonized walnut. Tried something a little different with the lid, but it would probably have worded better on a small two-handed box. It was a great fit, but I had to open it up some more for one hand operation.

The finial should give you a clue about what LOML is going to put in it (right by her chair).:)
