I really needed a decent workbench and have one too many projects to take the time to build one. I wandered into Woodcraft and saw the SJOBERGS Elite Duo 1500 on sale. It comes with two vices, eight bench dogs, two hold fasts, and one pair of jaw protectors. It was too good to pass up. I rationalized that the lumber and accessories would cost almost as much to build one. Not too mention the immediate gratification and the fancy brand on the front.
I did give the bench a nice tung oil finish. The bottom had to be coated so I decided to give the whole thing another coat. Now I feel like I did something beside put the vices together. Next project is the assembly of the Sommerfeld aluminum router table top and fence. I also have to build the cabinet to put it on. Happy new year to me!!
