I'm officially broke, but at least I got some goodies that I'd like to share with you good folks. I also may need some suggestions on a few things.
First, let me show you my new 12" tenon saw. It's in desperate need of sharpening, which I'll be trying to do as soon as I'm able. The medallion in the handle is WARRANTED SUPERIOR. The handle needs some work because of some red paint that is somewhat visible in this photo.

Next is another WARRANTED SUPERIOR medallioned saw. This one has an etching that from Shapleigh's Hardware. The diamond logo is visible, as is the words "Diamond Edge" in the bottom part of the diamond. Part of Shapleigh's name is visible in the top, so the two together indicate it was put out by Shapleigh's. As for who made it? I have no idea.

This one has some roughness at the front and is bent slightly. I'll take some sand paper to it and see what happens.
Next is a pretty simple one. Disston D8. Still sharp. It seems to be a later one, but I'll be checking out the Disstonian Institute shortly.

The next is one of my proudest purchases of this past weekend. A Diamond Edge DE7 jointer plane. It has some surface rust, and a chip is missing off the top of the tote, but other than that is seems in pretty good shape. However, I'm not sure who actually made the plane for Shapleigh's though, so I'm not sure how proud I should be of it. For $19.99 though? I figured it was worth the risk ;)
I am definitely open for suggestions on straightening the tip of that Warrented Superior saw!
Thanks,
Tom
