feedback on the veritas 51/4 as compared to the low angle jack please:eek:

I have both. The 5 1/4 (my first "good" plane purchase) set up as a smoother (cambered blade) and the LAJ set up for shooting with low angle (25 deg) straight blade. I also have the 38 deg blade but haven't used it yet.

If I had to have one, it would definitely be the LAJ because of the versatility.
