In summary, this is an inexpensive device that can give you an idea of how much fine saw dust is floating in your shop air and how well your dust collection solution is working. There are three versions of this device. One will give readings on all particles larger than 1 / 5 microns (it gives two readings, one for particles greater than 1 micron, and a second reading for particles greater than 5 microns in size). Another version measures 0.5 / 2.5 microns particle sizes, and a third version will do 0.5 / 5 micron measurements. You're getting about a 30% savings with the group buy (and they say they will be raising their prices shortly).
