I'm getting ready to start a set of cabinets and will be building full inset doors/drawers. I can find full inset partial wrap hinges everywhere but because they are limited on adjustment was wanting to possibly use demountable hinges something like these

I can find the 3/8" inset and overlay in this style but not the full inset, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Just looked at Lee Valley and CS Hardware, I don't think either one sells this type. As I said above I can find the 3/8" inset and various overlay like these http://www.hardwaresource.com/Store_ViewCatLevel3.asp?Cat=655 but the full inset is a different animal.

You might try Baer Supply: www.baersupply.com

They are an industrial supply company that used to only sell wholesale but I believe sells to individuals on the web now.

Nope, they just have the same as the others.........overlay and 3/8" inset, thanks for the link though.

The picture is of a double but they have singles as well: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=11380&filter=hinge Not exactly as you picture but we're getting closer. And closer: http://www2.shopping.com/xGS-Single_Demountable_Hinges~NS-1~linkin_id-8006949

Glenn, from what I see these are only available in overlay style also.......thanks for trying.

I may end up simply going with simply the non mortise hinge with a ball tip finial but what tick me off is I know these are available if I can just find them. The pictures above are from a cabinet maker http://www.crownpointcabinetry.com/ and they don't sell hardware.

You're right. My apologies, I wasn't looking close enough. Maybe the cabinet maker can put you onto his source?

You might try contacting Winks Hardware in Portland, OR http://www.winkshardware.com/

No pictures on the web site but they have an extensive selection. The problem is trying to describe what you're looking for over the phone. You might want to send the pictures via e-mail.

I spent a bunch of time looking (once I get started, it's like a game to try to figure it out) and I struck out, I found hinge manufacturers I had never heard of for that matter. Anyway, after looking closer at this page:

http://www.crown-point.com/doorstyles.html

I think that particular hinge may just be specific to Crown Point since they claim it is patented. This is a total stab in the dark, but I wonder if possibly Horton Brasses makes the hinges for Crown Point:

http://www.horton-brasses.com/

Anyway, good luck.

Rich

Thats exactly what I mean, the standard non-mortise hinges will work but once I got started trying to find these it became a hard headed deal for me.

Thanks for all that helped, I'll keep looking but won't let this hold me back.
