I am trying to replicate an antique brass finish on some knobs for the drawers in my shop to match the antique brass hinges I've used. I sprayed the knobs with a hammered spray paint that is a dark gold. It's not bad, but a little too light/bright to be a perfect match. What can I use for the antiquing part of the finish? I'll spray a matt clear finish on them when I get what I want. Thanks for any direction you can point me in! Jim.

Thanks for the note Sam. I went ahead and tried some dark stain last night. It looks fine, but I'll have to see if it holds up after spraying a satin clear coat or 2 on it. If not, I'll trek over to Rockler and get some of this. Jim.
