Where can I go to get 4" hose for a dc. Would a local vacuum shop have this size?

Possibly a farm supply store. I bought 10 ft of 4" steel flex hose that wasn't too unreasonable. If they don't have what your looking for they may be able to stear you in the right direction.

I got 20' of 4" clear flexible dc hose for $29 from Tools Plus. Cheapest I found. I got the hose already, but haven't gotten the other parts I need yet (Tools Plus doesn't sell a wide variety of dc stuff, so I had to go to Lee Valley) so I can't vouch for it quite yet, but I did take it out of the box and it looks fine. It's got a plastic reinforcement spiral rather than the wire that some have.

Good luck!

Grizzly, Amazon.com, Rockler, Woodcraft, PSI, Oneida, Air Handling Systems, Kencraft, etc. all carry what you need. Ideally, you want hose designed for the purpose as it's smoother inside which makes it less restrictive.

I just bought a 20ft. length from Grizzly. It's good quality, and it was a good price.
Cheers Shawn.
