Shaker Oval Boxes with Curly Maple Tops

This is my fourth set of boxes and the first with Curly Maple tops, (thanks to Curlywoods.com)

These were given to my mother in law and she loved them.

Sizes 0 thourgh 4 are included in this set, one coat of BLO followed by five high gloss coats of General Finishes clear wipe on coat, with a final coat of General Finishes semi gloss to knock the shine down a little.

That figure is awesome! Very nice boxes Steve. I've only use pine for my tops and bottoms. Think I'll be using something a bit more interesting next time I get out the triple burner!!

Those are exquisite, Steve. I most often see these in "plain" cherry, but that figured stock really makes those boxes stand out. Frankly, these are the best I've ever seen! Really.
