Okay this is my first time posting to the site. I have browsed the site for a month or so and it looks like there is a good group of people who are willing to help out. Here are some of the items I have done. Let me know what you guys think.

Hi John - your pieces look great. It's not easy doing bottles and looks like you've gotten off to a fine start. Did you use a color fll on the bottles, what settings did you use - you'll get asked so thought I'd kick off the list!
Thanks, and welcome to SMC!

I did not use any color fill. I simply used a wire brush and went over the engraved part a few times and gave it a simple silver look. A lot of the settings range. I have noticed different wine bottles go through a different tempering process because each one reacts different to settings. But the main one i use is 100P/6S with a Accuris powersharpe 46. 60 watt laser with rotary attachment. Does anyone have any tips for color filling on wine bottles/ glasses.

I use Pebo Vitrea 160 glass paints to color the etched areas, masking off areas as needed with liquid mask. They can be "fired" at 300 deg in the oven for a quick hardening or just left at ambient temp for a week or so to harden. I've found them to be very durable.

Yea the only problem is I cant "cook" the wine. Usually people buy it and then drink it. Know of any other "tricks".

Good point! The Pebeo paints will harden enough in 24 hours without heat to prevent it from rubbing off and will harden more over time.
