Nice mail box post. I'm in the process of doing one myself from eastern red cedar.
Have to do it in three segments and am using a long tenon/deep socket to connect the pieces. Can't wait to see the reaction of my neighbors. I bet you got plenty of looks and comments from your neighbors. See any green envy in their eyes???:D
