Have not had a chance to post pictures in a while. Many thanks to Bob Hollowell for his tutorial. I gave these as X-mas gifts and they were much appreciated. From the left they are, #1, bubinga, walnut, maple; #2, bubinga, walnut, maple; #3 walnut, cherry, maple.
I tried some different shapes and angle of offset. Still learning.
Thanks for looking. Comments and critiques always appreciated.

Very nice pepper mills. I need to learn how to make those one day. After I get all this fl*twork done that's on my "list". :o

How are you boring out the pepper mills, I have tried using a forstner bit with an extension and found that the chips/dust didn't clear efficiently, ended up twisting and snapping the extension.
I know its hard to believe.

Thanks everyone.
Mac, I do use a forstner bit with an extension and pull it all the way out of the hole fairly frequently. I then blow some compressed air in the hole to flush it.

Mac, besides clearing as Benjamin said, make sure to use the slowest speed possible. If it's smokin' it will probably get broken...(sorry about that)...but really, the bit will work a lot better.

They look really good! The laminations look great. The finish is also very good.
And Mac, I can believe you broke the Forster extension, I've broken roughing gouges... ouch!

Mac, try sharpening your forstner bits with a file or a honing strip. Made a big difference for me.
